Gordon and Betty Moore have $6.4 billion in their Foundation so they have learned a thing or two about effective grant making.
There is a short article in “The Chronicle of Philanthropy” where the Moore’s have outlined their giving strategy. They agree with our Foundation’s view of the need for measurable results, to only give grants where our assistance will have a lasting impact and whether our involvement will attract others to our grantee’s work.
